eJamming

Saw in Keyboard an advertisement: eJamming.

It made me wonder. Improvisages have played LIVE on - over - the Internet. And that was GOOD - though the sound quality was pretty lousy. I did record some of it but that was mostly an experiment. Today our Internet connection is much better than a couple of years ago. Maybe we should do it again, I mean the recording. Could eJamming do it better? Weeks ahead will tell. But if eJamming means ONLY MIDI it won't be enough. I would like to play REAL instruments - and maybe some singing - LIVE over the Internet and record it. That would be lovely. But maybe it is good to try eJamming... How fast should be the connection to make my dreams com true??

NINJAM can't sync people together, because they're always one measure apart (about 2500-3000 milliseconds, and when you add more than two people, there will be additional measures of lag and when there are delays in the internet, the sync will get worse). eJamming will keep people in sync because the latencies run between 15 and 50 milliseconds.

Alan Glueckman from eJamming here. Just wanted to let you and your readers know that we put the Early Adopter test version of the eJamming Station for the Mac up yesterday (the PC version is coming in mid-September). Musicians can sign up for a Two Week FREE Trial, download the software and start eJamming now! Just would like everybody to know that this is beta, so expect some bugs and not all functions are fully enabled today, but we'll be releasing new builds each week.
Hope to see you in the eJamming Venues!
