Suolahtisali is the best concert hall in Central Finland and Improvisages has been honoured and privileged to perform there so many times. During the 1990-ies we used to rehearse there...

Flowers from my backyard. - I finally got a new battery charger for my Nikon D5100. The former charger did not like the sandstorms in Jordania last winter. Slowly it became absolutely useless... Now with a new charger all is fine and I'm happy. (Juha H.)

Musaa ja matkailua

I've been quite busy lately. Lots of work with photos. I've been choosing and fixing pics for the next Improvisages concert... Now it's done.

What about music? Well, I added these to my iPod - Flying Colors (their first and just released CD), Ian Anderson's Thick as a Brick 2 (You know Jethro Tull?), Emilia Lajunen's Turquoise Bicycle ( Modern Finish Folk Music...) and some of my own stuff...

Tomorrow Sini and I are going to Tallinn, Estonia. Jan Garbarek Group with Trilok Gurtu is performing there on Saturday. Nice, very nice!!

PasuunaPelimannit performed in a concert in Sumiainen. There were some other orchestras, too. And I was  also  part of an other group -  well, an add on or something like that. I received the sheet music at the venue just minutes before the gig. And thus quite big part of my playing was prima vista.  All in all music was quite alright.

I sent a video of Antony Parviainen Trio rehearsing here. Their drummer was not with the band because he had just left. The other people -   Jopo, Torsti and Artsi -  just happened to be there.

Antony Parviainen Trio

Antony Parviainen Trio rehearsing at our place today, just moments ago. It's a trio with five musicians. This time their drummer Aki was not here. Just before the photographing he'd left for home. Later today the band is going to play a gig nearby. Sini and I are going there to see and hear the trio LIVE.   (Juha H.)

Finally I got hold of these! Ian Anderson's sequal to Jethro Tull's  Thick As A Brick  -  TAAB2.  Plus Prog Rock featuring Anderson. Time to listen to some music!! (Juha H.)
