Pasunapelimannit rehearsed in Sumiainen. Finnish folk music exclusively. There are some gigs coming.

The weather is almost cold - +7 Celcius degrees. And it's still summer! This does not feel like global warming but climate change. What'll happen in the near Future - within ten, twenty years?

Rain keeps on pouring. But Sini and I were brave and did a longish walk with umbrellas over our heads.

Most of the day I've just played different instruments. It's so nice. And of course I did some recordings - domra, recorder and Sini's singing.

Right now Machine Men are performing in Jyväskylä at the Lutakko Liekeissä Festival. The name can be translated Lutakko in Flames. An hour ago Sini phoned Jopo who is at the site and he said that rain keeps on falling. Maybe the name of the festival should have been - Lutakko in Rain.

Little marsh. - My next musical project has begun. I recorded one acoustic guitar track for one song - Muinainen kakeni (My Ancient Cuckoo). (Juha H.)

Now all my parts for the musical project Lutoslawskia kuunnellessa (=While Listening to Lutoslawski) are recorded and most of it mixed, too. Sini has also done her parts. Only some J-V's guitar solos are still missing. Hopefully some day soon he can create his parts... And the next project is already written on paper - fourteen songs. Maybe I'll add some instrumental compositions later... And thoughts of what comes next are taking shape...

Within an hour Machine Men are going to begin their gig at Harvester Rock Festival.

Rain is gone for good.

Keikalla

Maija P., Eero L. and me played a gig at LaajaArt Exhibition. It was the last event ever there, I believe. The owner has sold the house... We performed poetry and music - with violin and flute. It was nice anyways though the circumstances were a bit sad - a farewell party...

Tomorrow morning Sini and I are going to Stocholm, Sweden for a couple of days.

Ensemble Hoikkaset eilen

Yesterday Ensemble Hoikkaset played a gig. And it was great fun! We played Folk music and quite alot Jazz. It is so fine and delightful to improvise... There was a party and celebrations for Steam Ship Keitele. The ship is now 130 years old. Congratulations.

Last night Sini came back home from Parnu, Estonia.

Today Machine Men are performing at Wacken Open Air Festival, Germany. There should be some 60 000 people.
