Sini ja Improvisages

 

Yesterday  Improvisages  performed in Suolahtisali, Finland. There was a big folk music happening celebrating   Eero Lahti.  The concert hall was packed full and in the end there was a cheerful standing ovation.  Here are some photos and here's a LIVE video.

New CD in iTunes,  HERE.  The whole is based on traditional Finnish poetry - Kanteletar.
Finns have two magnificent books of folklore. Kalevala is a heroic story of men and their adventures - and the greatest hero is a singer and musician. Kanteletar is filled with predominantly poems of women - created by them, too.   (Juha H.)
