Ian Anderson and TAAB 1 and 2

Back from Helsinki. Ian Anderson with his band performed a wonderful concert .  The original Thick as a Brick is a mighty fine piece of music. But TAAB 2 is arguably even better - at least it's more demanding to play, more taxing for the musicians. Very, very good concert from Prog God 2013 - Ian Anderson and his band. Steve Vai Tallinnassa

Back from Tallinn, Estonia.   Steve Vai with his mighty band performed an absolutely fine concert  in Rock Kohvik. The whole was very skilfully and innovatively played. Serious FUN. (photo by Sini; Juha H.)

Takapihan talvea

Winter's day in my backyard. The weather is a bit cold  -    -25 Celcius degrees this morning.

And in the other news - Yesterday Dead Beat Society (a.k.a. InterGalactic Folk Orchestra  and  a.k.a. Cookie in the Jar)  had a longish 5-6 hours rehearsal in Jyvaskyla. There are gigs coming later this year. Very nice! (Juha H.)

Syksyn lehdet ja Improvisages

Frozen leaves. - I added  here a video excerpt from our concert a week ago. It's some 6-7 minutes from the beginning of the happening. Three pieces of music - instrumental fragment, a song sung by Sini and a poem recited  by Maija P. on top of free tonal improvisation by Improvisages. (Juha H.)
