Maija P was here. I recorded her reciting poetry of Veikko-Kalevi Riihinen. Later I composed and recorded some music to go with the poems. And it was so very nice to work again with music and poetry.

First snow. - Now the project of poetry and music that begun yesterday is done - mixed, mastered and burnt to CD. The whole is 56.01 minutes long. Sini sang one more song - words by Veikko-Kalevi Riihinen and the rest by me... Another exhaustive day. But happy I'm. (Juha H.)

Maija P vierailulla

Maija P visited. Once again I recorded her reciting poetry. After three hours of working she was quite a bit exhausted. It's hard to be very concentrated for such a long time. Now all poetry for this project is done. During the evening I recorded most of the music. Woodwinds and percussion. And now I'm a bit exhausted, too. But happily so.

Antony Parviainen trio

Yesterday. Antony Parviainen Trio performing in Redneck, Jyvaskyla. The house was packed full.

Today I played a gig in Suolahtisali. Light Classical music with violin, flute and piano.

Now's the time for some Dream Theater and their wonderfully marvelous DVD Score.

Fallen. - During the evening I recorded some more music for the forthcoming musical narratives of Improvisages. This time I combined an improvised clarinet and piano duo with Ari's weird and wonderful story of a man who wrote an aphorism... And what happens then? Actually the ending of the story is a bit cryptic. How did I solve the problem? Well, I added two, three tracks of percussion instruments to go with rest... (Juha H.)

Syksyn lehdet ja Kallio Slaaki

Autumn Leafs. - Sini and I went to a concert today. Kallio Slaaki performed in Suolahtisali. Three different and very talented drummers banged their skins. Most of the music was composed by Mika Kallio. The other two drummers were Anssi Nykanen and Mikko Hassinen. There was quite alot improvisation, too. Nice anyways. (Juha H.)

Red and poisonous mushroom splittin' away. - All evening I just mixed tracks Improvisages recorded last Saturday. Now there's 45-46 minutes of almost ready music!! (Juha H.)

Keikka ja miksaamista

In the afternoon I played a small classical gig - violin, flute and piano. Plus while performing I was allowed to invent two little improvisations with my flute. All was quite nice.

All evening I just mixed the tracks Improvisages recorded yesterday. Lots of nice work with interesting and strangely beautiful music. Some tracks left for tomorrow...

Improvisages

Improvisages recorded all day!! Jammin' and just jammin'. Improvisation is so nice. There's probably music worth a whole CD. And there may be material for a shortish (17 minutes) DVD, too. Days of mixing and maybe some overdubbing ahead. Next we'll record some more - music that's written with precision.
