Bright Winter's Day

Finally I finished the making of a video. The pics were taken almost a month ago. The music was written the same day. But only during the last weekend did I  have the time to realize it and compile the whole. Sini sang  the main melody, I recorded the instruments and added photos plus some fragments of moving pictures. The video can be found here.  (Juha H.)

Tarinoita ja Laihoja Soittajapoikia

Above a band  - Tarinoita ja Laihoja soittajapoikia - I used to play in some fifteen years ago. It performed compositions of  Jori Rintamäki (drums). The singer was Pirjo Laiho, masterful  Mihai Petrescu  played the bass and his brother (stunningly fast, so fast)  Marian Petrescu  had keys under his hands.  I blew woodwinds (flute, recorder and sax).  -  Now Sini and I have photographed and turned to digital all thousands and thousands of our slide-photos. Yesterday. Antony Parviainen Trio performing in Redneck, Jyvaskyla. The house was packed full.

Today I played a gig in Suolahtisali. Light Classical music with violin, flute and piano.

Now's the time for some Dream Theater and their wonderfully marvelous DVD Score.

Improvisages keikalla

Improvisages LIVE. We performed in the Spektri Art Gallery as a duo this time. There are some Ari's paintings in the backround. Half and half - written and totally improvised music. Nice anyways.

FC Konemiehet won the local football Cup today, again like a year ago. After the Improvisages gig Sini and I had some time and watched the final matches. Some soccer fun!

And in the evening there was a very interesting concert in Aanekoski. Improvised music performed by a French trio Amarco - alto violin, cello and double bass. Some Bartok, some gesture (?) jazz and lots of good improvised music. (Juha H. ; Photo: Sini)

Arild Andersen trio ja Ensemble Hoikkaset

Yesterday - Arild Andersen Trio performing at the KeiteleJazz Festival 2010. Marvelous and very Nordic music.

Today Ensemble Hoikkaset played a very, very nice gig in Konnevesi. Finnish Folk Music exclusively.

Tomorrow Sini and I are going to travel to Tallinn, Estonia for a couple of days. Once again we go to this nice little city. (Juha H.)
