And during the afternoon I had some time off from my other obligations and recorded Wojciech playing violin and Maija P reciting some poetry. Nice, nice.(Juha H.)

Improvisages ja Keitele Jazz 2009

Yesterday. Improvisages, Jori and I, played a nice little gig at the opening of an Art Exhibition. Some Thelonius Monk, some of our own compositions and then some improvisations. Bright 'n' happy music.

And after the above mentioned gig one hundred meters walk downhill and we were at the main concert site of Keitele Jazz Festival. There were Chris Farlowe and Norman Beaker Band, the Animals with Spencer Davis and Procol Harum. Old English rock. Unfortunately Gary Brooker had just broken a couple of his ribs... He could sing only some short passages here and there. That was sad. But it was very brave to come and perform even though he was so badly hurt.

Very Nais Quintet ja FWD

We, Very Nais Quintet and FWD, had a long rehearsal together. Five female singers and a rock-band. And all was once again very nice.

Early tomorrow morning PasuunaPelimannit travels to perform at Kaustinen Folkmusic Festival for three days. Some music ahead.

Ja vain musiikkia

All day I just played different instruments and recorded plus mixed some more music... In the evening Sini and I played some more music together. Nice, nice. Finger tips of my left hand are a bit sore after playing so much guitar and domra.

FWD

FWD played a quite longish rehearsal. We had a new singer with us - and one more drummer. There were three percussionist all counted. And it was so nice to play HardRock! Travelling to the place of rehearsal, playing there and return journey took most of my day. All was good and ok.

Back from Stockholm, Sweden. Our visit there was just a short stint. This time it didn't rain... (Juha H.)
